Writing books and ebooks is not my cup of tee. In fact, I very much dislike the idea of writing a book or ebook simply because I can’t focus long enough to see a task through.
Which is why I often resort to other ways of authoring books and ebooks.
One of the more common approaches is to have someone ghostwrite the content for you, and then once it’s all done, all you have to do is go through it and make sure it matches your standards, slap your name on it, and voila… you got a finished product. All you have to do now is create a cover or ecover for it and then publish it by whatever means desired.
Another way of doing it is by getting various people to contribute to the book/ebook in an exchange for them (their company or website) getting featured in it. Obviously no sane company or individual would write a whole book for you this way, but if you set the conditions tight enough, you can have a best-seller written by less than a dozen different writers.
Oh… I forgot to mention: because you are featuring them in the book/ebook, they would be making their contribution completely free of charge to you.
Unless you plan on using a free ecover creator or book cover maker, you could even have a designer create a professional ecover for you in exchange for them getting credited inside the book or ebook.
There are so many options in this regard… the sky is the limit.
A long story short though: You don’t have to be an expert copywriter to write your own books or ebooks. You can outsource every part of it for a reasonable price through sites like Elance or Odesk. Or, if you prefer or are broke, you can even have others do all the dirty work for you in exchange for getting featured side of the book and all you do is compile it afterwards.
With either option, you get to feature yourself as the author and as a direct result get to keep all moneys earned from the book or ebook. It is 100% yours after all 😀
